METRO TO NACKA

2013 marked the historic agreement between the government, county council and four municipalities to expand the metro in Stockholm. For Nacka Municipality, this means that the blue line from Kungsträdgården will have three new stations added in Nacka: Sickla, Järla and Nacka C.

The expansion of the metro will also bring considerable improvements for large parts of the metro network across the Stockholm region, with a more frequent and more reliable service. As part of the agreement, Nacka Municipality undertakes to build 14,000 homes and 10,000 new workplaces in Nacka City by 2030.

Stockholm - one of the fastest growing cities in Europe

Stockholm is expcted to grow by the equivalent of two buses a day until 2020. That´s just over 35 000 people a year, making Stockholm one of the fastest growing conurbations in Europe. Stockholm´s Metro is about to be expanded by twenty kilometres and several new stations.  

The expansion of the metro will also bring considerable improvements for large parts of the metro network across the Stockholm region, with a more frequent and more reliable service.
